"’For God so loved the world . . .’ God is a metaphor for the heavenly state of consciousness. From the perspective of pure enlightened consciousness, to come (descend) into the world of form is to sacrifice its disembodied state of absolute freedom. Such a descent into form is a sacrifice made out of Love. Why such a sacrifice? Because the world of form is bereft and in sorrow when separated from the radiance of spirit, and because disembodied spirit is free but not complete without the world of form. Ultimately spirit and form are one—that is, one and the same.
So Redemptive Love pours forth from the heavenly state into the world of form as both a sacrifice and a joy, reuniting spirit and form, heaven and earth, truth and illusion. And since all is One, we are playing both parts at once. Being the indivisible One while uniting all of the aspects of our unity back together in Love—a paradox to the mind that is held with great simplicity in direct experience.
This is a story, but a story that embodies more truth and love than can be conveyed in analytical language.”
