Merton is a timely prophet for us all to learn from in our day... Now is no time to retire to any ivory tower of spiritual peace and bliss while we ignore the pain of the world around us. We need to speak out and respond to the world as we live our contemplation in a world of action.
If we see clearly that we are ONE with the world and all its people, we will begin living like it!
