Friend of God

Image may contain: 1 person, closeup"Early in the mornings for all of you

Sit motionless. Do not grumble of bad environments. Create your own mental world and environments. Build up your character properly. Establish virtuous healthy habits. Understand the glory, splendor & Power of God, who is at the back of your mind, thoughts, will and memory. Keep your body strong and healthy through regular exercise. Become a spiritual hero. Shut out the doors of the senses. Still the thoughts, emotions and feelings. Sit motionless and calm in the early morning hours. Have a receptive attitude. Go along with God. Enjoy peace in the silence. How I like these golden rules which have come out from some Divine lips.
Yours as ever, Lakshmanjoo"

"John Hughes has been a student of Kashmir Shaivism for over forty years. In 1972, he moved to Kashmir to study directly under the guidance of the preeminent and last living exponent of this tradition Swami Lakshmanjoo, whom we know as Swamiji. During the fifteen years he lived in Kashmir along with his family he was able to record over 700 hours of Swamiji’s revelations of the important texts of Kashmir Shaivism. Upon Swami Lakshmanjoo’s passing John, intent on fulfilling his teachers dream of making these teachings of Kashmir Shaivism available to the world, began the work of preserving these revelations and preparing them for publication. At present he has published eight volumes of Swamiji’s revelations."

"Denise Hughes has been working in the field of consciousness for over four decades. At age 18, Denise and her husband, John Hughes, studied for five years with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. During that time, Maharishi gave his blessings for Denise and John to study with the great Shaivite Master, Swami Lakshmanjoo of Kashmir. Swami Lakshmanjoo was the last in a lineage of Shaivite teachers dating back to the great Indian philosopher, Abhinavagupta, 950-1020 CE. Denise became a close disciple of Swami Lakshmanjoo and studied under him for fifteen years, while raising her family in Kashmir."
