Perhaps ordinary people like you or me are among the secretly awakened ones? Jon Bernie quotes Robert Adams as saying, "most people who become free or enlightened – whatever you want to call it – they don’t become sages or saints or spiritual teachers or gurus or anything like that. They are just ordinary people living ordinary lives. And unless you are really open and tuned in, sensitive to that, and unless you were spending time with them you wouldn’t know it." You never know if the clerk or mailwoman or the eccentric couple down the block are living the mystery. You never know. It could be you.
